Standard Gray

The standard gray is the most common color for domesticated chinchillas, and is the only color found in the wild.  Standard grays have gray fur on their face and body, with a bright white belly.

Black Velvet

Black Velvet

Black velvet chinchillas have a thick band of black fur beginning at the face and ending at the base of the tail.  This black band fades into gray along their sides.  Like the standard gray, their bellies are white.  Black velvets also have a small black stripe that runs down their legs and onto their paws.

Black Ebony Velvet
